Love is ever near. But trouble is never far.
Nantucket Island is haunted, but only sixteen-year-old Jade Irving knows it. Ignoring the disturbing spirits isn’t an option, because one dwells in the enormous historic home she shares with her newly blended family. Jade is finding it more and more difficult to explain away Lacey’s ghostly, anguished tantrums, especially with Charlie, her gorgeous, almost step-brother, living right across the hall.
When a power-hungry ghost hunter tracks down Jade and blackmails her, Jade’s secret teeters on the edge of exposure, and her entire future hangs in the balance. If anyone finds out Jade can talk to ghosts, her life will be forever changed.
Can she save herself, free Lacey, and hang on to her tenuous connection with Charlie? Or will everything she ever wanted slip through her fingers?
My Review: So Jade wants to have a normal life. Well, that isn't going to work. She has a secret, one that can make others think you are crazy. You see, Jade can see and talk to ghosts. She doesn't really like it and wants to get rid of it somehow and just live a normal life. But really, do you think this is going to happen?
When you have a special gift, it never seems to go, even if you try everything possible. Life just doesn't go the perfect way we want it to. Though it makes one heck of a story and interesting life.
This one ghost bothers Jade, like the ghost wants things to runs its way. She isn't sure what the ghost wants, but at least she will try her best to figure out what the ghost needs to bring it closure.
Jade will tell the one person she thinks will believe her about her ghost seeing gift. Hoping telling someone will keep her mind together for just a bit longer.
This book is so thrilling that anyone can easily pick up this book and enjoy it in one go. Everything you need for a ghostly thrill is in this one book. Its good enough to keep your ghostly genre done for the year. Yup you'll remember it that well. At least I'll remember it that well. I want more to read, it leaves you sitting there just thinking. After you think about the book, you think about what will happen in the next, then it leads you to hunting down the next book.
