by T.M. Smith

In the year 2081 our planet survived global warming of an apocalyptic scale. When the dust settled and the water receded Dr. Anthony Smith, one of only a few hundred survivors of GWI, started society anew. Having come to the conclusion that injudicious breeding played a huge role in the destruction of Earth as we knew it in the twenty first century, he worked closely with other survivors to isolate the Dionysus gene. This gene has the ability to manipulate human DNA to ensure that all male children be born gay, and all female children be born lesbians. A new society is born.

In the year 2300 Dr. Smith’s descendants are ushering in the twenty fourth century having maintained control of the government that still rules society. Twins Aiya and Aiyan are preparing to meet their matches and take control of House Gaeland, the current ruling House. But not everything is as it seems.

Love is Love.. it knows no gender and doesn’t conform to restrictions and boundaries. Aiyan has found his soul mate in Kaden, the prince of House Devi that he is matched with and eventually marries. But when the person Aiya falls in love with tests the boundaries put in place after GWI, all hell breaks loose. And in the midst of one secret unraveling, another will emerge. There is a growing anomaly that threatens to destroy over two hundred years of progression. This anomaly is known as Opposites.

*WARNING* Opposites is a majorly M/M New Adult novel that contains explicit sexual content and relationships between gay, lesbian and straight couples.

My Review: So when I first saw this book I  was very surprised. It had a world full of lesbians and gays. Something I haven't read before, so I thought this would be something really good or something not so good.  Now this book has some relations, I'm comfortable with reading this stuff, so make sure you are comfortable with these ideas before you read the book.

So I loved this book., it was a first book about gays and lesbians and T.M. Smith did a great job writing this book. I got moments in the book where I was just excited to keep on going and hoping for more great moments to pop up and they did! Did I mention some of those moments are HOT? Yup, these characters are pretty damn good.

So let me get to the characters....Aiya and Aiyan are set to be married. Aiyan to marry Kaden and Aiya to marry Maeve. Now who knows how each couple will hit it off. Aiyan I guess is lucky, because Aiyan and Kaden are doing well and liked each other pretty quickly. As for Aiya and Maeve......well the attraction did not pop up. Aiya likes Sawyer. Then you got Maeve's brother who falls for Raven. So pretty much many people are picking other people, but its not so bad, there are other couples who are match made in heaven.

You think the book is goo so far? Well there are some more complicated parts. Mainly how the world works. You have families, ruling different places, the nature of the world fighting to just be nature, being matched up to someone who you have to marry, the unknown, love, and everything else you can think of.

It may seem like a lot is going on, and there is, it just happens to work out. Everything finds a way to flow perfectly so you can read into a new world and just enjoy it. I liked the book, I just had some quirks with it.

I would have like to book to grab me sooner than it did, and for it to not have ended the way it did. It should have kept going a bit longer, or ended sooner and made into another book. However I still give this book 4 stars.
