Forget everything you know about grim reapers.
Princess Ophelia Dacre sneaks out of the castle to visit her boyfriend in secret. A perfect night cut short when she’s brutally murdered.
Ophelia is given the rare chance to become a grim reaper. She must become Leila Bele, cut ties with her old life, and follow the rules of the reapers. Her greatest adventure begins with death.
My Review: I love this! I've only read a few books with reapers in it, and this is one of the better ones. The writing is so well done, that you can easily picture whats going on and feel this story.
Ophelia can't stand the rules that her dad has. So what does any young pirncess do? Run away with boy the she likes of course! This night was supposed to be perfect. Ophelia and her boy are to sneak away and have a better life. Ophelia doesn't get the chance to have the life she planned on. Before her night could really start, she has been murdered.
Ophelia is given a choice to become a reaper. Not happy with her murderer just left out there, she has decided to be a reaper and help out those souls. Though Ophelia is not allowed to have her past life. She get a new name and life as a reaper now and must stick to the rules.
Ophelia get a second chance at life and I hoped that she wouldn't have to be keeping any more secrets. She had her share of them in the start when it came to Larkin and her status as a princess is hidden. So Ophelia get into the swing of things where she meets new people, makes some friends and stays strong. Despite some things that happen, that wasn't great to read, Ophelia manages to stay strong when needed and I just loved that about her.
I really enjoyed this book and plan on reading more books by the author and reading the rest of Ophelia's journey.
