New Year

The New Year is about to be here! So here is my recap!

This year I finally finished my Masters! I got a Master in IT and Business. Two things that I'm really good at and its something I wouldn't mind getting up and doing each day. Then my free time is all about my site and books usually.

This was a big year for requests and tours. I got a lot of Review Requests this year from Authors, Publishers, and agents. And was happy to find out that a number of requests were because people recommended me to them! Its always awesome to know that everything I have done pays off, and that people enjoy my posts enough to recommend me.

I also got a number of ARCs that I was surprised to get and enjoyed them. I got to work with a lot of new authors. I also appreciate the authors that I have been working with for years, and having the chance to read all their books.

The year also brought some tough times. Lead to some lost time on the site and to miss bookish events. It's not always easy to work, blog, have a life, and other things. Somehow I manage to make this all work.

Anyway I have some bookish resolutions left to say before I go. And I do love all my followers and anyone who supports my site/work.

Bookish/Blog Resolutions

1. More discussion posts. Somethings I haven't done a lot this year. Always tough to pick things that others haven't done already, and this year was a bit busier than usual for me.

2. Take it easy with requests. I enjoy getting requests. But I always worry if the person is going to be okay with what I say. I did have those few who try to get me to give it a great review because others did. Then had the few who weren't happy with my thoughts and gave me some negative response. I'm always happy to read a book, but I will always say what I thought about the book. So I'll  just try and not worry about those who don't like my thoughts.

3. Finish series. I have a few series that I only need to read one or two more before I'm done. But you know how it is.....you another book that you just HAVE to read and so that book ends up being put back a few times. So I'm going to try ad finish those series, before I start anything else. We'll see how that one goes.

4. Talk/Meet more bloggers. There are a lot of blogs/bloggers that I enjoy and some of them I am good friends with. Then theres the others that for some reason I haven't talked to yet. I'm going to try and talk to more people out there. You can never have too many bookish friends to chat with!

5. Reading Goal. Try to better with my reading goals. I always say I'm going to read x amount of books. Get series done, catch up with Netgalley/ebooks etc. Now I usually do pretty good on my goal of reading x amount of books. It's catching up on series and ebooks, that need to be worked on more. Though it would also help if I didn't buy more books every time I go out.
